Our Story

In 2014, Pastor Jeremy Barrett was carrying a large wooden cross on his back in downtown Indianapolis. Larry Hackett began to talk to him right there on the streets of Indy, and his life was immediately changed. Pastor Barrett ministered to him and shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ not knowing it sparked a fire within them both. Later in 2017, Larry began serving at Church of Acts and became licensed and ordained as a minister. During this time, Larry began serving in the outreach ministry led by Emily T. After she made the decision to relocate, she was led to give Larry the call to carry the cross of outreach and community help. After seeking counsel with Pastor Bill Jenkins, he was encouraged to accept the calling and started doing ministry through nursing homes and prisons. Years later, he was reconnected with Pastor Jeremy Barrett alongside Hazelwood Church, Chapel Rock Church, and Indy Fresh Fire Bible Church to continue his outreach and street ministry.
